Bioworld Merchandising taps Good.Lab to accelerate ESG impact
Good.Lab propels apparel and accessories manufacturer, Bioworld Merchandising, through the first phases of its ESG program to build a data-backed foundation for expanding impact over time.
SAN FRANCISCO | FEBRUARY 16, 2022
Good.Lab, an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data company, today announced that Bioworld Merchandising, a leading apparel and accessories manufacturer, successfully completed the first phase of its ESG program launch.
Bioworld aspires to be a leader in ESG performance and sought out external expertise to help them optimize their investments and improve ESG performance across a range of ESG issues relevant to their industry and operations, which span over 20 product categories and complete retail distribution and direct-to-consumer sales.
Bioworld engaged with Good.Lab’s network of ESG and sustainability consultants for this first phase of its ESG journey to prioritize among the many ESG issues by conducting a materiality assessment. Good.Lab also conducted an external benchmarking analysis to assess Bioworld’s positioning relative to industry peers and competitors, and a progress assessment to evaluate the impact of their efforts to date and determine where to focus to drive improved performance moving ahead.
We aspire to be a leader in the sustainability space and found a partner in Good.Lab to help us implement a quantitative approach to our ESG efforts. Good.Lab helped us to focus and prioritize our efforts around key impact areas, and to build a data-backed foundation for tracking our ESG progress.
Jason Mayes, Director of Marketing & Intellectual Property, Bioworld
The next phase of the client engagement tapped into Good.Lab’s industry benchmarking database to assess and set ambitious yet achievable ESG targets with considerations for what’s being done already by industry leaders and to meet the expectations of Bioworld’s customers.
Bioworld was an ideal client, given that they were serious about their ESG ambitions from the start and reaching a position of leadership. I’m particularly eager for the next phase of helping them measure progress against their targets so they have the data trail to back up all the good work they’re investing in.
