RDI-USA, Inc. is a global hospitality solutions provider offering more than 2,000 products to hotels and airlines worldwide. Guided by its commitment to environmental stewardship and transparency, RDI strengthened its sustainability practices through continued partnership with Good.Lab. As highlighted in their first case study, RDI took a structured, data-driven approach, turning evolving customer expectations into a clear operational and commercial advantage.
By focusing on policy enhancements, improved governance, and transparent reporting, RDI raised its EcoVadis score from 44 to 60, moving into the 61st percentile. The initiative also aligns with RDI’s customers’ growing focus on sustainable supply chains.
Nine of their customers actively participate in EcoVadis assessments, reinforcing the importance of strong sustainability performance and disclosure. This progress demonstrates how strategic implementation and data-driven guidance can turn sustainability into a competitive advantage for both RDI and its customers.
EcoVadis Scorecard Progress
Between 2024 and 2025, RDI improved its performance across all four EcoVadis pillars:
- Environment
- Labor & Human Rights
- Ethics
- Sustainable Procurement
The most significant gains were in Environment, up 23 points, and Labor & Human Rights, up 17 points, supported by improvements in stronger ESG governance, policy documentation, and internal training.
Why EcoVadis Matters
EcoVadis is the leading supply chain sustainability assessment platform, used by more than 150,000 companies worldwide to evaluate environmental, labor, ethics, and procurement performance. For RDI, participation reflects both its values and its customers’ expectations. Each assessment cycle provides a benchmark for measurable progress and an opportunity to demonstrate transparency to partners and buyers.
Managing sustainability risk in your supply chain is “the new normal” in 2026. As buyer expectations evolve, companies increasingly must respond to broader ESG data requests to stay competitive and maintain trust with their customers. Third-party frameworks like EcoVadis, CDP, and SBTi are becoming standard because they ensure reporting is consistent, comparable, and validated across industries.
Governance and Policy Enhancements to Improve EcoVadis Score
Working closely with Good.Lab, RDI implemented a broad set of updates to strengthen ESG governance and align documentation with EcoVadis requirements.
Key updates included:
- Voluntary testing of 100 percent of amenities products by the end of 2025 to ensure safety and quality
- Employee Handbook and CSR Policy
- Anti-Human Trafficking and Labor Policies
- Health and Safety Policy and Warehouse Safety Guidelines
- Adverse Reaction SOP and Emergency Action Plans
- Harassment Prevention and Safety Trainings
- Gender Diversity Reporting and Sustainability Training
- Annual GHG Emissions Report
These updates supported significant increases in the Policy, Measures, and Reporting indicators within RDI’s EcoVadis scorecard.
This year’s EcoVadis results reflect the tangible progress we’ve made. With Good.Lab’s support, we strengthened our governance, formalized key ESG policies, and improved our score by sixteen points in one year. It’s rewarding to see our efforts recognized and to know we’re moving in the right direction.
