Pallet Recovery Service partnered with Good.Lab to quickly meet EcoVadis requirements, strengthen customer trust, and build sustainability momentum.

Pallet Recovery Service (PRS) is a California-based logistics and wood-products company that supports the supply chains of global leaders, including Amazon. Its core business—repairing and reusing wooden pallets—is rooted in a circular, environmentally-friendly model. However, calculating greenhouse gas emissions for their business can be extremely complex. Who accounts for emissions savings from reuse? How much energy is consumed during repairs? How many pallets are actually recovered?
When Amazon introduced stricter sustainability requirements for suppliers, including an EcoVadis assessment and comprehensive GHG reporting, PRS recognized they needed rapid and credible action. To confidently address these new expectations, PRS partnered with Good.Lab.
PRS had already begun embedding sustainability into its business, with foundational HR policies and clear messaging on pallet reuse in place. But increased customer pressures—particularly from Amazon—meant sustainability had to become a strategic priority. With direct support from PRS’s CEO and Head of HR, the company engaged Good.Lab to rapidly complete an EcoVadis assessment within an ambitious timeframe.
Good.Lab stepped in, clarifying priorities, organizing key documentation, and guiding PRS to a successful and on-time submission.
Good.Lab quickly identified PRS’s needs, clearly defined project priorities, and organized essential documentation for submission. Despite tight deadlines, Good.Lab’s expert EcoVadis-trained consultants moved swiftly, guiding PRS through successful completion of their assessment and performing critical GHG emissions calculations for Scopes 1, 2, and 3.
PRS didn’t just meet minimum requirements—they excelled. Their initial EcoVadis submission achieved a robust overall score of 58, earning them a “Committed” badge, far surpassing the required threshold of 45.

This impressive result positioned PRS strongly among industry peers, immediately reinforcing trust with key customers like Amazon.
Their successful EcoVadis submission created new momentum for PRS’s sustainability journey. Now equipped with clear direction, PRS is formalizing internal ESG reporting processes, assigning clear accountability, and planning future reporting improvements.
Good.Lab helped us meet a pressing customer deadline clearly and swiftly. They quickly figured out exactly what needed to happen—tailoring the entire process to our unique circumstances—even right before the Thanksgiving holiday.
Good.Lab’s approach was tailored to PRS’s unique timeline, operational realities, and industry-specific challenges—ensuring practical, actionable solutions aligned with the company’s long-term sustainability goals. The timely and credible EcoVadis submission helped PRS effectively meet Amazon’s supplier reporting expectations, solidifying their position as a dependable, sustainability-focused partner.
